Micro-GPS revealed the first nest of the killer Asian hornet

Of course, Asian hornets did not appear on our planet yesterday, because they are commonplace in parts of Russia, Japan, China, Taiwan and many other places, they have only recently become a real problem in Europe and the United States. And we are talking about a species whose sting kills 40 people every year in the Land of the Rising Sun, mainly allergic, but it is also dangerous for healthy people if there is a lot of toxins. As if that was not enough, Asian hornets are known to destroy bee swarms - several dozen hornets can kill a swarm of several dozen thousand people within a few hours, mainly by ... decapitation!

SoundWatch, or see a smart watch for the deaf in action

Deaf or hard of hearing people have a huge problem with catching important sounds in the environment, such as knocking on the door, fire alarm or horn. Therefore, scientists from the University of Washington decided to help them and developed a smartwatch called SoundWatch, which identifies sounds from the environment and informs the user about them with a vibration signal and a visual message. The project was initiated by Dhruva Jain, who was inspired by his own experiences, because he is also a person with serious hearing problems. The whole works on a fairly simple principle, namely the watch's microphone listens to specific sounds from the environment, sends them to the connected smartphone, where they are processed and return as an appropriate message with information about the type of sound and its volume, and the smartwatch vibrates at the same time to attract attention user.

Foot and electric taxis are the future of crowded cities? [MOVIE]

This has just changed, because the company's portfolio has been expanded - the vehicles have been modified, thanks to which they took the form of EAV Taxi, i.e. solutions intended for the transport of people, especially in crowded centers of large cities (those with refrigerators for special transport of goods are also worth attention). What is worth emphasizing here, we are dealing with pedal vehicles assisted by electric motors, thanks to which we get an emission-free means of transport, which is another argument for EAV Taxi.

Falcon Heavy from SpaceX will provide a probe for a "golden" asteroid worth 37 trillion zlotys

NASA is preparing a mission for this fascinating object. The reason is prosaic. Scientists not only want to learn about the history of the turbulent development of the solar system, but above all to develop technologies for the needs of space mining. This is what will allow our civilization to develop faster in the coming decades, when resources will start to shrink drastically and humanity will finally want to live permanently on other objects traversing the solar system.

The presented exoskeleton was built specifically to support its user during intense walking and running. It can also be a great complement to the rehabilitation program for people who have suffered various accidents and want to regain full strength as soon as possible.

The development of artificial intelligence will quickly turn the Earth into a sizzling fireball

Scientists are sounding the alarm that we must change our approach to the development of the latest technologies, because we will do our own thing. Currently, there are 3,200 companies in the world that deal with artificial intelligence systems. Research conducted by specialists from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst shows that a side effect of their work on AI is the emission of much more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere than all cars on the ground.

See how a fully autonomous Tesla deals with a garbage truck on the road

On the latest material, we can see Model 3 in action in FSD (Full Self Drive) mode, i.e. in full autonomous mode. The owner decided to show how his car would handle a garbage truck on the road. Admittedly, these vehicles behave quite atypically, as they move slowly and stop from time to time so that employees can empty the containers.

Unfortunately, one of these people died of cardiac arrest, but doctors say it was not a result of a mysterious disease.
